Jody Manuel is a cosmetology/barber instructor at American
College of Hair Design in Sedalia, MO where is also the
Director of Education. He received his Cosmetology and
Instructor training from ACHD. In 2017 he attained his
cosmetology to barber crossover license from Klassic
Transformations Barber Academy in Lee Summit, MO. Jody
and his partner Harv live in rural Sweet Springs, MO.
I am a second generation Cosmetology school owner. My
family has owned Central College of Cosmetology and Salem
College of Hairstyling for 30 years. Throughout my life, I’ve
seen how important MACS is to cosmetology schools, as well
as students and graduates.
Scott Sharp
Vice President
Scott is a licensed Cosmetologist, Barber, and Instructor in
the State of Missouri. He is passionate about education in
the Cosmetology Industry and served in it for 19 years with
Merrell University. He is a past President of MACS, Current
Director of Admissions/Co-Owner with Merrell University.
“Growing up in this industry, I learned how valuable MACS
is to preserving the professionalism of the Cosmetology
Industry.” He is also a member of MACS state legislative
committee.
Shara Burgess
Secretary
I am the 3rd generation to help run House of Heavilin
Beauty College. It has been family owned and operated
since 1953 and have 3 locations. I have been here for 16
years. We have always been a member of MACS and myself
have been on the board for the last 7 years.
